As a yacht designer, Patrick Knowles has been practicing his craft for the last 21 years, 13 of which have been under his own banner of Patrick Knowles Designs.

Having worked with all of the major U.S. shipyards including Burger, Christensen, Delta, Hatteras, Nordland, Palmer Johnson and Trinity Yachts, as well as several international yards, Patrick Knowles Designs has proven time and again that the firm is positioned to take on the challenge of working with shipyards globally producing projects with on time deliveries.

An award winning design firm, Patrick Knowles Designs, has won the prestigious Showboats International Best Design Award for M/Y “Best in Show” and has been nominated several times for the coveted Superyacht Society Award.

Patrick Knowles Designs is currently engaged in several new build projects, including the 161’ Trinity Yachts “Mustang Sally”, 164’ Trinity Yachts “Mine Games”, 183’ Trinity Yachts “Mustang Sally”, 191’ Trinity Yachts “Unbridled,” as well as the rebuild of the 160’ Feadship “Inevitable”, among other land based projects.

Patrick Knowles brings discipline to his practice that could only be gained by working in the confining and demanding field of aviation, in which he has designed over 35 aircrafts, including Corporate, VIP and Heads of State.  His most recent aircraft project was an ambitious four year restoration of a 4 engine McDonald Douglas in Europe, which has been filmed through its course into a documentary.
